How It Works
Send your bond list. We'll take it from there.
- Send us your bonds. Share a list of ISINs or CUSIPs. A spreadsheet is fine.
- We'll check coverage. We'll let you know which bonds we price.
- Compare our prices. We'll send sample prices for your bonds so you can compare them with what you use today.
- Choose your delivery. Get daily files by SFTP or S3, or receive prices through our API. We'll work with the option that fits your workflow.
- Agree the fee. It covers the bonds on your list and the delivery you chose.
What the first conversation covers
The first call is about your bonds and how you use the prices. We'll ask what you hold, where prices go today (valuation, risk, client reporting), and how you'd like to receive them. You'll leave knowing which of your bonds we price, when your sample will arrive, and what happens next.
What to send us
Send us a list of identifiers to get started. ISINs or CUSIPs work, in a spreadsheet or a plain list, for your Latin American holdings or your whole book.
If you hold both the 144A and Reg S lines of the same issue, include both. Each is a separate security with its own identifier.
Questions you may have
Which bonds count as Latin American? We cover bonds whose issuer's home country is one of the 21 countries we serve. We determine that country using domicile first, then guarantor, then incorporation. This keeps offshore funding vehicles grouped with their home market.
What is an evaluated price? It's SQX's estimate of where a bond would trade at the close, built from market data and pricing models rather than taken from a single trade. Many bonds don't trade every day, and an evaluated price still gives you a value for them on the quiet days.
Do you price local-currency bonds? Yes. We price both hard-currency bonds, including USD and EUR, and local-currency bonds.
What do I receive for each bond? A daily prices file with the evaluated bid, price and ask, the dirty price, market yield, yield to maturity and yield to worst, Macaulay and modified duration, and convexity. A weekly reference file carries each bond's terms. The data dictionary lists every field.
Can I see your prices before I commit? Yes. Send your list, and we'll send sample prices for your bonds so you can compare them with your current source.
Do I have to take the whole region? No. Your fee covers the bonds on your list.
Do you offer intraday prices? No. We deliver end-of-day evaluated prices once each business day.
Where do the charts on this site come from? The charts come from SQX's bond database. The snapshot charts use the yields and spreads from our pricing engine as of the date in each caption, and the yield history uses our month-end bond price history. Each caption also lists which bonds are included.
How do you protect our data? SQX holds ISO 27001 certification for its information security management.
What does it cost? The fee depends on the bonds you need priced and how you'd like to receive the data. Send us your list, and we'll come back with a proposal.
Can you price the rest of my book? Very likely. SQX also prices municipal bonds, structured notes, alternatives, and corporate and sovereign bonds outside Latin America. Send us your whole list, and we'll tell you which bonds we price.
